I love Ubuntu although I am only superficially “into it” so to speak. (I love my eeePC, too. Thank you, Hank, and Joe of the PC Radio Show!)
Ubuntu was installed this week and Microsoft Windows operating system was relegated to less than 10% of the available space on my dual core hard drive. I have played most of the games offered on Ubuntu and checked out at least half of the screen savers. Wow…so much more variety and depth of imagination. I love Ubuntu.
Besides the really superficial stuff I also have been using Tomboy notes and several of the Open Office applications.
Ubuntu, Open Office, Firefox…all make me feel warm and fuzzy.
Bye bye Microsoft…Hello Open Source.
…and many thanks to the Gomez Morin center in Queretaro. The 10 hour class that they ofer is outstanding. I love Ubuntu. I love my teacher. (He is practically billigual Spanish English and studying Dutch and German…how cool is that?)
